Who in your opinion, would make a great Dr. Moffet should Airwolf ever be remade? I posted a similar threat about Stringfellow Hawke. I believe James Spader would be a good choice.

At the moment I haven't a clue but James Spader has the likeness of a genius psychopath. He'd just need to brush up on his Surrey-English accent if he's to be a genuine Charles Moffet.

Well, two out of three isn't bad!

Thank you. He does indeed have that David Hemming's likeness. As a matter of fact, NBC's Today's Entertainment published an article on him that read: "James Spader has made a career of playing compelling sleaze balls, dirty lawyers, and sadomasochists and yet he is on his way to becoming NBCs next George Clooney."

Why does an American have to do this?

Or, conversely, why does NuMoffatt necessarily have to be a British character?

Just look through the various episodes of CSI, The Mentalist, or basically any modern crime drama, and there's a veritable treasure trove of sawed off, sick sadistic bastards you can pick from.

I'm curious who the OP would fancy to play String or Dom.

If he were alive, I think that the late David Lynch would have made a pretty good Moffet. In fact, Lynch appeared in the episode, "Horn Of Plenty".
