Well that's the 'Airwolf Extended Themes' Cover Booklet done now after the MK4 draft. I think you'll all like. The great news in that I've upgraded it last night from a 20pp to a 24pp design, and we'll be going into a new generation "Super Jewel Case" in lieu. The undertray and CDs' artwork will be created this weekend...

Thank you for the update, Mark. It's great seeing the CD is progressing. So I suppose we can have this gem in our music players by fall grin
I'm way too excited! wink

Mark,

That is excellent news, the update is very much appreciated as I was getting impatient for some new information!

I do have a question that is probably off-topic for this thread: Will there be a limit on how many copies can be purchased in one order? I ask because both myself and my two brothers will be wanting copies of AET. As well, I will probably plan on buying two for myself so I have a backup copy - unless the final price tag is much higher than I am expecting.

Thus, that would be four copies, and I'd probably plan on ordering them together as it will simplify payment and shipping.

Please advise at your convenience.

Kevin

Kevin, we're most likely going to stick to the GBP30 + Registered Postage range per set (is easiest to administer all-round with Uni themselves, and then the royalties' agency for Sly & Udi etc.) - it is what it is and I still think reasonable value-for-money for 42 tracks + the extras, although I know it's high for any music release in 2013, in the current court jester "entertain me!" era of torrents and streaming.

As for 2+, I don't see a problem with that as some people bought extras the last time and it seemed to go down well, so I don't see why I should change that. 2000 copies will still take a while to shift. I'll set up a postage step system for 2+ to combine airmail shipping (UK will just be 1st class + Recorded Delivery); International will be Airmail + Registered Delivery.

Also, we'll not be doing digital downloads for a while (unless there's a massive outcry from the majority for it that I couldn't ignore), but I'm really aiming this physical 2CD release at the collectors and the audiophiles who like uncompressed music and a PHYSICAL thing in their hands that they know where their money went. Laughable and old skool to the modern generation but there you go. smile

Mark,

Sounds good. GBP 30 is not terribly high (even with exchange rate to USD) in my not so humble opinion, considering what one is getting for the price.

I just wanted to make sure that after the first CD release so many years ago, that you wouldn't be limiting to one per customer in order to curb the obscene resales that subsequently took place on ebay.

I am curious, if you care to divulge right now, whether the clearances with Universal have already been resolved, or if that is a process that still needs to be worked through. I only ask because I gather that may be time consuming. Nothing is fast or simple when dealing with licensing legalities, and am trying to get a rough idea of when we might expect the finished product to be available.

Thank you again for your efforts in bringing this about!

Kevin

All good things come to those who wait. Great! Can't wait to have Airwolf II blaring out of my iPod.

Well, two out of three isn't bad!

I'm almost drooling with anticipation!

The "super" jewel case looks like a welcome added bonus here in the States. Is it the traditional kind where it has the black base and 2 front doors w/ the booklet in the middle, or the "new" compact all-clear kind with the rounded corners and better hub (like the SACD/Music-DVD)? If it's the latter will it be the case with the 2CDs stacked on the same hub, or the flip-flop with each disc on it's own side?

These little added touches are what puts MP3 releases to shame. Thanks for the heads up and all the attention to detail you guys put into this - I'm sure it's no cakewalk!

It's the clear undertray version with the bigger spindle (meaning both discs sit on top of one another for a double, pass-the-parcel reveal... and I've the artwork designed in lieu of that! ;D

Would really need to have bundled a bib/serviette in there too when you see the brand new photos we've got hold of from the show's Aerial Cameraman, Stan McClain, plus the other mega rarities I've picked up over the past 3 years or so.

Without ramming it down your throats, I've had the final music playing in my car for weeks and weeks now, as an an objective Airwolf fan, I'm very happy with it. Comfort music.

I've everything ready to go to production, artwork's tweaked and everything now. Just waiting on Univ. and the royalties' agencies to do their bit. Uni are so under-staffed in Licensing it's beyond belief. When I was there in person in 2004, they'd mountains of paperwork piled 2ft high everywhere and on everything... on chairs, sofas, tables, side-boards, you name it. Never seen a mess like it. You've no idea.
