The Mosquito looks like it usurping the Robinson R22's long-held crown as more stable, more affordable ($35 bucks an hour on fuel), more adaptable (floats) than its counterparts.
And can you believe, some of its models are even classified as "micro-lights" thus:
NO licence is required to fly the Mosquito Air or the Mosquito XEL in the USA. A private fixed wing license is required to fly the Mosquito XE in the USA. A private helicopter licence is required to fly the Mosquito in Canada. Other countries will need to check with their aviation authority on flight regulations.
And if you're a really good pilot, you can do a "Kevin Hansen" (from Airwolf ep 'NATURAL BORN') and fly with your hand off the cyclic and just rock the chopper! ;D Hotshots only need apply.
